-About me-

日本語

  Formerly, I liked various composers.

When I was very young, I loved the music of the romantic and the classical era. I often listened to the music of Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Grieg, and Mozart.

In my adolescence, I liked the music of the Modern era. Stravinsky, Ravel, Faure, Gershwin, Milhaud, and Satie were my favorite. Debussy was the best I loved.

Now I’ve reached maturity. I like Bach only. I wonder why I’m not interested in other music. When I accidentally hear Tchaikovsky or Debussy, I still like them. However, I won’t buy their CDs anymore. Furthermore, I don’t want to play them on the piano. I have lost my passion for them.

The Japanese proverb says,” Fishing begins and ends with crucian carps.” Or they say, “Cooking begins and ends with eggs.” Nowadays, I feel that music ends with Bach.”

If someone asks me what kind of music I like, I say that I like classical music. The truth is, I only like Bach.
